Tsavorite Garnets originally discovered by British geologist Campbell Bridges in 1967 at Tsavo National Park in Kenya. At the time Campbell Bridges was acting as consultant to Tiffany & Co. It was given the name “Tsavorite” by the luxury jewellery house after a promotional campaign to bring the gem to the public consciousness. It has been sought after by gem connoisseurs. A clean tsavorite over 2 carats is considered very rare, this particular 3.02 carat tsavorite is a true collectors item.
